Our origins

Le Rendez-Vous started as a single home group in 2011. It gained charitable status (Association 1901) in 2012.

After meeting bi-monthly for a few years, the growing number of participants led us to set up several local home groups in the Vendée and Deux Sèvres.

In line with the new government regulations we applied for and were granted status as a state-recognised church in 2023 (Association 1905).

Because we find it important to develop relationships with other churches in France and be accountable, we joined CNEF85 (the regional branch of the National Council of Evangelical Churches in France) in the same year.

A team of elders oversees the running of the fellowship, alongside standing committees that deal with administration and finance.
